##article.abstract##

Before the advent of Islam, Arabian society was deeply influenced by non-Islamic traditions and cultural practices. These included idol worship, polytheism, unethical social customs such as burying daughters alive, excessive tribal warfare, and indulgence in gambling and alcohol. Various pre-Islamic festivals, like the fairs of Souq Ukaz and foreign celebrations such as Nowruz and Saturnalia, promoted moral corruption, class discrimination, and superstitions. These cultural elements shaped the Arab way of life, distancing them from monotheism and ethical values. The society's inclination toward materialism and worldly pride further strengthened such non-Islamic norms.

With the arrival of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), these harmful traditions were gradually abolished, and Islamic teachings reformed societal values. The Prophet (ﷺ) emphasized monotheism, justice, and ethical conduct, replacing un-Islamic festivals with Islamic celebrations like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. He discouraged participation in pagan rituals and promoted unity and morality among the people. Through these efforts, Islamic civilization emerged with a strong ethical foundation, eliminating practices that contradicted the principles of faith and justice.
